Collingham Church View Surgery and Thorner Surgery form a well-established, five-partner, semi-rural General Practice dedicated to delivering high-quality, patient-centred healthcare to the local community.

The practice serves approximately 10,000 patients across two recently renovated premises, both of which have been refurbished to a high standard and are equipped with modern facilities designed to support the delivery of contemporary primary care services. The surgeries provide a welcoming and accessible environment for patients, with consultation rooms, treatment areas, and clinical equipment that meet the evolving needs of modern General Practice.

Supported by a comprehensive Primary Health Care Team, the practice offers a wide range of medical services and works collaboratively with community healthcare professionals to ensure integrated and holistic patient care. The multidisciplinary team includes GPs, nurses, healthcare assistants, administrative staff, and allied healthcare professionals who work together to provide safe, effective, and responsive services.

The practice operates under a Personal Medical Services (PMS) contract with NHS England, enabling it to deliver high-quality primary healthcare tailored to the needs of its patient population.

Committed to innovation and efficiency, the practice is fully computerised and operates a paper-light system, utilising modern digital technologies to enhance clinical care, streamline administrative processes, and support effective communication between healthcare professionals and patients.

Dispensary

Our in-house GP dispensary services at Collingham and Thorner are here to make managing your medication easier, safer, and more convenient. By using our dispensary service, you can collect your medication directly from the practice — often saving an extra journey to the pharmacy.

We can dispense to those patients who live more than 1 mile (1.6 km) “as the crow flies” from a community pharmacy. This includes most patients living in Scarcroft, Thorner, Bardsey, East Keswick and Harewood. If you are unsure if you are eligible for our dispensing pharmacy, then please ask a member of staff.

  • We offer:
  • Fast prescription turnaround times, usually within 3 working days
  • Friendly, knowledgeable staff who work closely with your GP team
  • A reliable home delivery service for suitable patients
  • Dossett boxes for those patients struggling to manage their medications

Whether you require regular repeat prescriptions or an acute medication following a GP appointment, our dispensary team is committed to providing a smooth, efficient, and personal service for our patients.

If you would like to find out more about our dispensary services, including delivery or dosette box support, please speak to reception or a member of the dispensary team.
