Ordering Repeat Prescriptions Online

If you are already registered for online prescription services, you can request your repeat medication quickly and securely through SystmOnline.

Registering for SystmOnline

If you would like to register for online services, please visit the surgery and speak to a member of our reception team. To protect patient confidentiality and ensure the security of your personal information, all new SystmOnline registrations must be completed in person.

Prescription Processing Times

To ensure prescriptions are processed safely and accurately, please allow a minimum of 48 hours from the time your prescription request is received by the practice before collecting your medication.

If your prescription is sent to or collected by a pharmacy, please allow up to 7 days for processing and dispensing.

We are receiving an increasing number of requests for prescriptions to be processed urgently on the same day. Wherever possible, please plan ahead and submit your repeat prescription requests in good time. Repeat medications can be ordered up to 10 days before they are due, helping to avoid delays and ensuring continuity of treatment.

Repeat Prescriptions

If your GP has authorised your medication for repeat prescribing, you can request your repeat prescription in a number of convenient ways. Please allow at least 48 working hours for your request to be processed.

How to Request a Repeat Prescription

You can order your repeat medication by:

  • Completing a prescription request slip and handing it to a receptionist when visiting the surgery.
  • Posting your repeat prescription request slip (the right-hand side of your previous prescription) in the prescription box located in the surgery foyer.
  • Sending your request by post.
  • Using SystmOnline to request your medication online.
  • You can also order your repeat medications by downloading the NHS App to your smartphone, tablet or laptop.

To help avoid delays in receiving your medication, please submit your request in good time and ensure all details are correct.

Prescription Collection Service

For added convenience, repeat prescriptions can be sent directly to a local pharmacy of your choice through our prescription collection service. If you would like to use this service, please contact your preferred pharmacy to make the necessary arrangements.
